Every student has 70+ minutes of mathematics each day. Each child progresses at their own rate, through a curriculum with a standard scope and sequence. In addition to this individualized math work, the teachers pose more complex applied problems, oversee math team-type games, and monitor participation in math competitions. Teachers use a variety of tools, both textbook and online programs, to help students master and practice math concepts.  The math concepts covered at Dunham are based on a California content standard progression for scope and sequence for grades K-12.  Students who have mastered pre-calculus and trigonometric concepts will have the opportunity to engage in independent study using both conventional textbooks and on-line math tools such as the Stanford EPGY program or Khan Academy.
